My name is Matias, but those closest to me call me Häsi (pronounced "Hay-zee"). With that said, Häsi Bread means more than just a bakery. The Loaf represents where I come from. It's saturated with my heritage, culture, and experiences as a California born-and-raised, Austrian-Afghan. That's a mouthful! Our sourdough is saturated with organic earth-based color—turmeric (yellow) and butterfly pea flower (blue)—because we believe that when done right, Art is in bread. We believe that freshly milled organic grains make a difference you can taste. We believe that wild fermentation creates a tastier and more digestible experience.
